| | | The U Zlaté Podkovy is a typical burgher house which was originally constructed in the Gothic style. Its first mention dates as far back as the beginning of 15th century, and afterwards it underwent a rebuilding in Renaissance style during the 16th century. In those days, there was a horseshoe in its sign: the one that you will see today is the same that has existed there since 1723. |
The horseshoe is an important symbol for Prague`s culture: it is thought to bring good luck, and he who had his horse properly shoed, was told that he would reach his destination safely. At this location you will be on Nerudova Street, a few blocks from the Prague Castle. As you walk along it, you will be stepping on the original Royal Route, full of Renaissance and Baroque burghers` houses. |
The apartments at Aparthouse U Zlaté are displayed along the ground floor, the second and the third level of the property. Each of them has a kitchen and in some cases you will even find a dishwasher. The best suites are those on the attic, featuring wooden beams and outstanding views of the city. |
