 The BW Meteor Plaza is situated in the full center of Prague next to The Palace Hibernia, the Powder Gate and The Municipal House. You can reach Wenceslas Square, The Old Town Square or other places of interest on foot within a few minutes. You can also easily get to the Hotel by your own car and you have the possibility to park in the hotel garage on request. |
 All 88 rooms are comfortably furnished and equipped with all the modern facilities. There is a cozy restaurant with an ample summer terrace for lunch and afternoon tea/coffee. Dinners are served in a romantic wine cellar, which already had this purpose back in the 14th century. The first references to this hotel come from the year 1307. Unfortunately, the older information has not been saved, because of fire. |
 This house was called "White Lion" and was known as a retreat for the travelers, who came to The Old City in the late evenings hours without the possibility to enter the city through the City Gate (in the nowadays called The Powder Gate). This Gate used to be closed every day at dusk. In the 17th century, even the son of the empress Marie Terezie, the emperor Josef II spent a night here. In honour of him the hotel was re-named to: The City Vienna. |
