The Czech Republic
is a member of the E.U. but will not adopt the Euro until 2008,
the national currency is the Czech Koruna.

Exchange
Prague has several
major foreign money exchange banks such as
American Express, Thomas Cook, Ceska Obchodni Banka, Komercni Banka
and Zivnostenska Banka. Banks can charge aprox. 2-5% commission
for foreign cash exchanges. Though you can find many exchange offices
in Prague offering good rates with no commission. Do look around
to find a good deal but watch out for street traders wanting to
exchange money.
Some banks,
which you will find in the town centre, will change travellers cheques
and advance cash on Visa and Mastercard. Also there is an ATM machine
and an American Express office at the main train station.

Cards
If you have
a debit cards that is connected to a credit card company such as
Mastercard or Visa you can withdraw money and pay for goods where
these cards are accepted.

Cash Machines
Prague has cash
point machines spread throughout the city. Visa, mastercard, maestro,
visa debit & American Express cards can be used to withdraw
cash from the ATM's of most Czech & International Banks.
