Live animals may be carried to those countries only where arrival
country regulations allow, and under conditions determined
for the actual country. An Import Licence, issued by the State Veterinary
Administration (Slezská 7, 120 00 Praha 2) is required for
all animals staying in the Czech Republic longer than 3 months.
Dogs and
Cats: Each dog and cat older than 3 months must be vaccinated
against rabies, at least 30 days, but not more than 12 months, prior
to departure. In cases of revaccination the waiting period of 30
days is not necessary. The animals must have a tattoo or identification
microchip. Each animal must have a valid international certificate
(passport).
A Veterinary
Certificate signed by a veterinary doctor is required for importing
a pet into the Czech Republic.
Other Animals:
A health certificate is required in each separate case.
